Talk by Martin Lövdén, professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Gothenburg, Sweden: Education and Cognitive Functioning Across the Life Span People completing more years in education tend to perform better on tests of intelligence.
This association between educational attainment and intelligence remains throughout life. In this talk you will hear about the scientific evidence elucidating the origin of the association: Which came first: The chicken or the egg? That is, is education having positive effects on peoples’ intelligence or is it instead the case that people performing better on intelligence tests are selected into higher education?
